Disability activists are returning to Florida to tell the simple truths about tubes, feeding tubes, breathing tubes, peeing tubes and other tubes we need and love. Disabled people in wheelchairs will demonstrate and explain the realities of everyday life with tubes, confronting society's obvious horror and revulsion with our dignity and disability pride.

Terri's feeding tube is the central issue. This is the reason she is being killed. Disability activists must express our ridicule for the pathetic response of the nondisabled majority to these simple pieces of latex rubber. This case hinges on the fact that Terri uses a feeding tube, which to disabled people is no big deal - it's just another piece of adaptive equipment.

"Right now the case is settled, people are thrown back on their own beliefs, while "experts" continue to present the story as a misbegotten political intervention in a private matter," said John Kelly of Boston Not Dead Yet, "a tragic medical case in which doctors are united in their certain diagnosis that nothing is going on inside her head , and a tragic family matter in which her "husband" really does want the best for her, which is death. And people agree -- and this is absolutely crucial -- because THEY THEMSELVES would rather be dead than
like Terri Schiavo.

"We have been trained, over and over again, that if we only concealed our differences, tucked that legbag tube - for draining urine - under the pants leg, never talked about incontinence, that we could be (at least partially) accepted," Kelly continued. "But the shame that we are meant to bear keeps us down more effectively than anything that anyone could do to us."

"It's time for the press to talk to the real experts on the Schiavo case - the disability rights movement", declared Diane Coleman, president and founder of Not Dead Yet, leading the disability community's opposition to non-voluntary euthanasia for a decade.

"That's why 26 national disability rights organizations, including groups like Not Dead Yet, and CIL's, DQIA, and others have adopted a position in support of Terri Schiavo's right to continue to receive food and water," affirmed Stephen Drake, research analyst for NDY. "People on the right are killing us slowly with cuts to the budget and Medicaid while the people on the left kill us quickly and call it 'compassion' - either way we end up dead - AND WE OBJECT."

faces starvation and dehydration from the removal of her feeding
tube. The Woodside Hospice, where Terri Schiavo lives, is located at

Evry member of my family is dreaming of Ireland at the moment, the land of our ancestors that we have decided to visit. We have irish blood and we feel this in our heards. In addition we know that many of our people gave their blood for Ireland and for Christ our Lord and I'm sure all our generations will never forget We bear this, in our blood as most of the Irish exiled families in France and Spain. I have been praying fervently for a good outcome for Terri Schiavo ever since you first alerted me to her dreadful situation, and have been trying to tell people here about it, but I get the impression that here in the UK, people see it as "a merely Catholic thing", and of no real concern to them. I was quite surprised at the number of people who said to me that Terri would be better off dead...........which indicates just how far down the euthanasia road this society actually is !! Already, it is quite normal here to either abort, or to allow to die, infants who have genetic defects such as Down's Syndrome, or even in cases of infants with correctable defects such as cleft palate !! Sadly, there hasn't been even one mention of Terri's case in the UK media

There is a strong lobby here pushing for legislation for "the right to die" for terminally ill patients.......... usually elderly and vulnerable. It is absolutely scandalous. Doctors here seem to have conveniently forgotten that they took the Hippocratic Oath when they qualified to practice !! I can understand that, in cases where a person is declared to be totally and irreversibly brain dead, and non-responsive, by several independant doctors, that there is no point in prolonging the "moment of death" by artificial means, and that switching off the machines that have been supporting breathing and other bodily functions, in such cases, is inevitable and merciful, but, allowing someone like Terri, who is conscious and responsive, to die slowly and painfully of dehydration and starvation is legal euthanasia ............or to call it what it really is......... conspiracy to murder.

By now your plans to visit Ireland must be well advanced, and I'm sure you are counting down the days till you arrive there ! I wish you and your family a good journey and a pleasant stay in the land of your ancestors.

Jacksonville, Florida | WakeMeUpNews | Much was learned from attending the news conference that was held at 1:30 PM Monday, at the US Courthouse, to take a peek at the future surrounding Terri Schindler-Schiavo’s days and years to come. It was inspiring and had the flavor of a motivational circling of the wagons.

The press conference was organized and held at the request of The Justice Coalition founder Ted Hires, who is also owner of several Sonny's Real Pit Bar-B-Q restaurants. Being a victim of a violent crime, Ted found the criminal justice system worked harder for the criminal than the victim. As a result of Mr. Hires’ experience, he formed the (501C3) nonprofit organization, and is making an effort to reprove the judicial system for the better.

Hires’ team of investigator advocates who defend victims, have moved in recent days to announce the entrance of his Victim's Justice organization to help save Terri Schindler-Schiavo. There were many news reporters and cameras from at least two local TV stations including WJXT-TV4. Approximately 100-125 people attended.

There was an all-star cast of enthusiastic people. In addition to Hires, Terri's mother, father, and brother were there. Bishop Galeone, Bishop of the Diocese of St. Augustine (Jacksonville is in this diocese) attended, along with several other priests, and area clergymen. Two local politicians Don Davis and Jerry Holland attended.

State Senator Stephen Wise gave a report, which appeared to give the crowd a real big boost. He was speaking when I arrived missing the very beginning of his statements, but this developing story seems significant. Wise announced that he is sponsoring a companion bill to that of Rep. Dennis Baxley's HB-0701 (HB stands for House Bill). In a phone call by Wise, to this reporter on February 24th, 2005, he stated he was "personally sponsoring a companion Senate Bill to Baxley's bill and the wording will be the same. It's not filed yet but will be announced soon."

While the House Bill appears to amend Florida Statute (FS) 765, so that receiving food and water via a feeding tube or any method possible would [then] be considered an ordinary means of sustaining life (an essential for life itself; a natural function everyone needs for life), this change would then cause the statute to be in line with state criminal laws which currently prohibit the denial of food, water and nutrition from any person, by intent or neglect. A fault that may have been previously disregarded.

Many following this situation ask: If Judges can order crimes to be committed, why have criminal laws, police, courts and jails? They appear to be on the mark at least with this Judge’s (George Greer) order to perform an act that is expressly prohibited by crime law.

Readers are encouraged to be precisely informed by going to www.myflorida.com and searching for FS 765, reading this short but potentially detrimental set of laws, then reviewing and comparing the proposed changes to it found in the 10 pages of this proposed HB.

When you look to current Florida Criminal Law FS825.102(3), to the Florida Constitution, and the US Congress which long ago adopted the UN Human Rights laws, all concur stating the same -- that denying nutrition from any person is criminal, shall be prosecuted and will not be tolerated.

People will no doubt draw from this event and get mobilized now. Letters, e-mails and phone calls to all state representatives, state senators, Governor Bush and Attorney General Crist undoubtedly will continue to keep flowing with intensity.

The question rising from the core of this issue, is whether causing a person’s death by denying them any one of the three basic essentials for life -- food, water and air -- is permitted by man or only by natural course (some say God) and is the taking away of life the killing of that person? Even without religion, for us all, the law does say -- Thou Shalt Not Kill.

Several other initiatives were mentioned on the courthouse steps. A request is being made to the Governor and the Attorney General for an investigation into the circumstances of Terri's injuries. Some in law enforcement continue to suggest that any pertinent statute of limitations have run out on bringing criminal charges. Has the statute of limitations on all crimes against Terri really run out? That would seem to imply that there was a crime or multiple crimes in the past with nothing on-going. This misconception is one that the media seems to play to the hilt or completely ignores. Those who have done the research as well as lodged complaints know otherwise.

The Schindler's, along with hundreds of thousands of other people who are flooding the system with verbal and written inquiry, appear to be asking the same question of law enforcement -- Exactly on what date did the crime[s] happen they infer were committed upon Terri Schindler-Schiavo? And why did they not act to protect their daughter from more of the same?

With law enforcement consistently inferring that statute of limitations have run out, even though not being specific to which crimes were committed and when, this admission to thousands who complain by phone, may be one of the items which the DCF Attorney and the Governor are interested and show their concern, especially since it appears that law enforcement has been sitting on this and not seeking prosecution. Who has been ordering the fix?

That brings questions of whether departments and agencies of state are complicit and participants in abuse. However, this Governor, now with DCF, seems committed to getting to the bottom of the reported breakdowns and the seeming criminal blockade by those who may have abused their positions, to facilitate this extrajudicial execution. The public that says they have done the digging claims state attorneys say local law enforcement has brought them nothing. Local law enforcement tells the public that the state attorney says not to take complaints or investigate anything surrounding anyone involved with those who seek her death. Witnesses to these occurrences have reportedly turned this information over to public officials as early as October of 2002.

By getting to the truth and prosecuting any public officials who may be found to have participated in any criminal victimization of Theresa Marie Schiavo, this Governor will certainly be living up to his Campaign Slogan -- Champion of the Disabled.

This is one of many points being advanced in the suits the Schindler's and their growing numbers of attorneys from around the country bring to the Governor and file in the courts. One of their objectives is removing Michael as guardian. Governor Bush, it is becoming clear, wants to know with certainty whether Terri Schindler-Schiavo is the victim of abuse, by many, and across many sets of hands.

DCF is investigating. The Schindler's attorneys are asking that DCF place Terri under protective custody of the state. They are also trying to get Judge Greer removed, plus a new initiative seeks a divorce for Terri due to the admissions of the Guardian Living in Open Adultery in violation of Florida Crime Law FS798 as is thoroughly documented to be by open admission. Some of this may work. But it appears the Judges will have to be forced to follow the laws, as Terri's Judge seems to have bunkered himself against.

The question now seems to be: How long will the "20 Judges" of the Circuit, District and Supreme Courts, that Attorney George J. Felos frequently states in court and to the press "as concurring with" the Greer court's 'civil judicial death warrant' continue in carte blanche complicit support?

The actions of the Governor of late appear to have also brought a renewed confidence in disabled people and the Disability Advocacy Community. The effect has given energy and hope that the disabled's complaints of discrimination in services and uninvestigated occurrences of criminal abuse, neglect and exploitation of them, by those who take advantage of their disabilities, is finally going to be addressed by this administration and Legislature to the fullest extent of the law and to the fullest extent of their resolve.

Disabled persons and their advocates appear more motivated and vocal than ever before with confidence in their Governor, to stand up to the threat they perceive will result from a disastrous and improper outcome for Terri. The precedent they say, could spell the deliberate and legally caused deaths of hundreds in their community, even while criminal law currently on the books prohibit the same. Disability advocates say that the next step by the new form of genocide, will be to eliminate the criminal laws that protect vulnerable elderly persons and disabled adults, to which they are set against.

Don't even consider the idea that Terri Schiavo's case is either unique or particular to her family in this Machiavellian age. It is neither. An individual ordered by a court, sentenced to death by starvation because she is "a useless feeder" is each and every one of us under similar circumstances, a human over whom the state has exercised the power of life and death absent any crime and punishment being involved. The punishment is for being useless, a burden to the state, considered a soulless offspring of the detestable theory of evolution that renders all of us just an accident in primordial slime.

She is me because I am disabled with a spinal fracture. She is every maimed and "useless" veteran of the wars in which America has involved itself for political reasons and left behind the unnamed military personnel, some teenagers, whose lives will be spent as disabled persons requiring continual medical care. She is each elderly person whose life has been spent going to school, getting married, having children, being a productive worker for the government's tax program and a contributor to Social Security. She is you and me and all of these people who were disabled by an accident at work, at home, in an automobile.

She is an American who was once an able-bodied person welcomed by the gods of the state. Now she has been sentenced to die as a useless feeder.

We don't have miracles any more, and this nation surely has spit in the face of God with its disregard for the sanctity of life. Sanctity of life, permanence of marriage and stability of the home belonged to some ancient age from around 1970 and prior when we had values and didn't need to broadcast it for reassurance that the lie will stick. Values indeed. If there is any value higher than that of the sanctity of life and the sovereign will of God, then even God has not made that proclamation!

America is utilitarian now, or Hegelian, or anything the government wants to brand it.

We're anything except free. We aren't human, we have no soul, and the state owns us and the children of those who are parents. Then people write and ask, "how do you figure we're not free?" Duh.

The leadership and the high courts of this nation have brought upon it the beginning of the judgment of Almighty God and the intensity of that judgment will increase with every wrong this nation perpetrates upon its own citizens and those in other sovereign nations under a translucent veil of "spreading freedom."

Beware of following the philosophy of a government that has no respect for life or belief in God. Those are elements in the statement of faith of our forefathers who built this nation. Even the atheists of their time weren't as crass as the "egalitarian" leadership of today, wicked judges and pretenders to the throne of God who will perish with their hubris.

A generation of liars in high places will bring the nation and its people to ruin, history sets its seal to that thesis.

Think about this, prospective parents, Social Security recipients, those with parents in nursing homes, and those in hazardous occupations (including driving a motor vehicle in expressway traffic): will the state take a newborn with Down's Syndrome and give it a lethal injection? Will those who paid for Social Security "insurance" stolen by the government for foreign war meddling be "vaccinated" with a lethal fluid? Will your parents suddenly have a stroke and then die while you are at work, or in the middle of the night? I received a call in the middle of the night that my mother had a second stroke, but was never apprised of the first. I was injured at work and discharged by a doctor on friendly terms with my employer as "medically stable with no permanent impairment" when I had two spinal fractures.

It can happen to anyone, yes it can happen to you, and the anyones and you and I no longer have any say in our "representative" government. Ask the people on the street if they feel adequately represented. Look at the articles, the statistics, you will find that the people want one thing and the government wants another. Guess who wins?

Terri Schiavo is one individual, a living soul who is about to suffer death by starvation at the mandate of the court of "justice" as it is now interpreted in this godless land. If our military starved an enemy captive to death there would be an international uproar and courts martial. But a helpless woman whose husband wishes to remarry? A burden to the state? Not a problem for the judges to order such a person to die.

But remember, she is not just one individual.

She is all of us, each of us, one of us.

Her judgment and sentence is ours also.

There is but one judgment for perverse judges and evildoers to fear, and that is the final judgment of God, when true justice is revealed against all unrighteousness, in this land and around the world.

We have that on infallible Authority from the Judge Himself. Amen!

If everyone remembers the O. J. Simpson case, the prosecutors were unable to get a conviction for criminal charges, because the jury was not convinced beyond a reasonable doubt, but he was found guilty of wrongful death (murder) in a civil lawsuit by the parents. It cost him a fortune to fight in these cases and his reputation is still ruined. No doubt he has nightmares and ongoing psychological problems, recurring bills for therapy, etc. as will Michael Schiavo. It will never end, and never get better for Michael Schiavo - only worse. He thinks he has problems now?

The standard of proof in civil suits is lower and needs to be proven only by a preponderance of evidence. Plus all the proceedings so far have been before one very biased man, Judge Greer. The outcome will be very different when this case is presented before a jury.

There are numerous red flag issues here that will be fodder for civil lawsuits for many years to come.

The Schindler family can file a civil lawsuit against Michael Schiavo for wrongful death, the doctors, involved for malpractice, Judge Greer for malfeasance, and the state of Florida (Department of Children and Families) for failure to protect the life of a disabled person, including doctors who examined Terri and found her condition of rigid neck, and then the injuries shown on the bone scan. They did not notify authorities of a "possible" abuse situation. This is malpractice.

These lawsuits will give them access to all records and documentation. A private investigator can be hired (if one is not already working on this) to search for witnesses (such as neighbors, friends, hospital workers or coworkers) that could provide testimony regarding any prior abuse situations. The investigator also will find proof of collusion and conspiracy between certain doctors who claimed Terri is in a PVS, the hospice, George Felos and Judge Greer. If proof is covered up, if records are destroyed, these will come out. If there is a link showing Judge Greer was prejudiced and had conflicts of interest that should have made him recuse himself, then he liable. He will be removed from the bench.

All will come out. These are the times for ultimate exposure. It will never, ever end and never, ever get better for Michael Schiavo in any way - only worse. His problems are just beginning. Just wait - It will be a very interesting show.

Media repeats misrepresentations in Terri Schiavo case.

Clearwater, FL – On February 24, 2005, Associated Press released a report penned by Vickie Chachere which cited an eating disorder as the cause of Terri Schiavo’s mysterious collapse and ensuing brain injury on February 25, 1990.

Contrary to the account of writer Chachere, there was never a determination by any court nor the Florida Department of Health that Terri Schiavo ever suffered from any eating disorder, bulimia, anorexia or compulsive behavior that would lead to a heart failure at the age of 26.

Indeed, Florida’s Department of Health had completely and absolutely cleared Terri’s general practitioner of any negligence or wrong-doing in her case. This was after the physician had been accused by Terri’s husband of ignoring evidence of an eating disorder.

Additionally, at the time of her mysterious medical episode, Terri Schiavo stood 5’3” and weighed somewhere between 115 and 118 pounds – a slim, but normal stature and weight.

Associated Press writer, Vickie Chachere cites not ONE medical document that would affirm her careless contention that Terri Schiavo was an irresponsible dieter or a compulsive victim of an eating disorder. The Terri Schindler-Schiavo Foundation asks Ms. Chachere to readily produce the facts upon which she penned such assertions.

The parents and siblings have repeatedly offered to media and press a copy of a bone scan conducted on Terri Schiavo just one year after her incident that reveals multiple sites of trauma and broken bones throughout Terri’s body. Neither the law enforcement agencies nor the media or press have made any effort to investigate why Terri Schiavo’s body was seemingly broken by battery.

Instead, they perpetuate the unsubstantiated claims that Terri Schiavo suffered from an eating disorder that rendered her healthy, 26 year-old heart incapable of carrying on.

Statement of Robert Schindler, Terri’s’ Father: “"This is a slanderous accusation against my daughter with no basis in fact. Certain members of the press seem determined to spread misinformation to kill Terri."

Florida Supreme Court splits 4-3 on surprise last-minute filing in Terri Schiavo Case While many parties have become involved in the Terri Schiavo case, there has been much activity under the radar, not reported by the mainstream press.

LAKELAND, FL (The Register) Friday, 25 February 2005 - Terri Schiavo supporters have been bolstered by a surprise, last-minute filing from an unexpected source. Lakeland, Florida resident, Gordon Watts, who filed a petition for writ of Habeas Corpus with Florida’s high court on behalf of Schiavo in late November of 2003, shortly after Schiavo’s feeding tube was removed and re-inserted, has struggled against powerful interests who have attempted to discredit and dismiss his involvement in this high-profile case. Watts also has experience in the U.S. Supreme Court, which is expected to hear his racial profiling case today, and can be found at the court’s official website: http://www.supremecourtus.gov/docket/04-8132.htm regarding a situation in which he was asked to leave an establishment based allegedly on his minority ethnic background.

In spite of much opposition and ridicule from mainstream media and other parties, however, Watts’ case has remained alive in Florida’s Supreme Court for over a year until this past Wednesday.

Watts, who learned of the Schiavo case in 2003 from news reports, immediately moved to file as “next friend” to challenge Schiavo’s alleged illegal detention in hospices, which, according to State Law, are only allowed to admit terminal patients, which are expected to die within six or fewer months. Watts’ filings bear many similarities to filings made by the immediate family, but have additional elements, such as the direct challenge to the placement of Schiavo in a hospice facility and the use of the writ of habeas corpus. Watts has said that the immediate family would be more appropriate to file, but seeing no one else make these legal arguments, petitioned the court, noting that he need not be “closest friend” to satisfy legal Due Process requirements for the handicapped woman, who has been denied legal representation for much of her ordeal.

Mr. Watts also took issue with the fact that court orders only spoke to the feeding tube, but that parties removed both the feeding tube and also denied natural food, the latter a felony under chapter 825 state laws.

Due to the recent developments, many parties have asked Watts to request that the high court issue a stay on the probate court proceedings while the Supreme Court justices have a chance to review his petitions on an expedited basis. This past Tuesday, Watts requested the court review his legal arguments, and late Thursday, it was learned that the court had quickly moved the previous day to issue a decision. Justices voted 4-3 to uphold a previous tentative decision to dismiss the filing based on technical errors.

Voting to dismiss, without a written opinion, were Justices Kenneth Bell, Raoul Cantero, Peggy Quince, and Charles Wells. Voting to allow Watts to continue to file on behalf of Schiavo were Justices Harry Lee Anstead, R. Fred Lewis, and Chief Justice Barbara Pariente. Responding to claims that he does not have legal right to challenge Schiavo’s detention in the hospice network, Watts declares that “non-lawyers” may intervene in rare instances and quotes “The Operation and Jurisdiction of the Florida Supreme Court” by Gerald Kogan and Robert Craig Waters, the court’s current spokesperson (18 Nova L. Rev. 1151, at 624., Fla. 1994), which states that “Even detention imposed on someone by a private individual potentially can be tested by habeas corpus. The most common use is where one parent alleges that the other parent has taken custody of a child wrongfully.” Mr. Watts also cites other landmark cases to support his claim that he may intervene: State ex rel. Deeb v. Fabisinski, 111 Fla. 454; and, the U.S. Supreme Court’s holding in Whitmore v. Arkansas, 495 U.S. 149, which held that that to be a ‘next friend,’ one need only “provide an adequate explanation--such as inaccessibility, mental incompetence, or other disability--why the real party in interest cannot appear on his own behalf.”

Some in the news media have made issue with the fact that Watts has filed other cases and labeled him as a “frivolous lawsuit” filer. Watts responds: “When, in the court of public opinion, a news writer wants to write multiple articles and deny me any coverage, I do not call him a ‘frivolous news article’ writer, and likewise, when I find several injustices, I would like to have my right to get a fair day in court to have our freedoms protected in this country of declining morals. Therefore, with everyone distracted by ‘Terri’s Law’, I think it right for me to try to help Theresa Schiavo, the person.”

Watts, a Biology and Chemical Science honor student and alumni from The Florida State University, hopes that the combined efforts of many people can prevent the danger of placement in medical facilities in which they are prohibited by law.

After being narrowly denied at Florida’s High Court, Watts plans to appeal to the United State Supreme Court and ask the nation’s highest court for permission to directly intervene on behalf of Terri Schiavo.

Felos has reportedly received over $550,000, which has elicited charges that he is perpetuating the case for financial gain. According to the last accounting made public, for the period of March, 1998 when he was first hired until September, 2001, Felos was reportedly paid $307,188. Just called Bush's office and the Head of the Florida Assembly. Bush's office would not take my name, when I asked if she was writing this down, she said "No, I'm not we will pass your coments on to the Govenor."

Now in the President of the Senate there they took my name and address and were very impressed that I was calling from France. She wrote everything down! Told her how bad it looks to see President Bush in Europe then the next story is how his brother in the State of Florida is letting a disabled woman be starved to death. The woman said that I was the first aller from France. She kept insisting that I tell here where I lived in the states, finally she figured out that I don't live in the States that really, I was calling form France. The woman in the Assembly Presidents office said very sincerely that they are doing everything they can to help Terri. She seemed sincere. When she answered the phone she asked to put me on hold and I asked her to come back quick since I was calling form France. She said she would try but that all the lines were lit up. So I sincerely echo Floridah Voter, PC93 and others, Call, call, and call again. E-mail is good but with phone calls they have to answer the phone, so iMHO a phone call is better. There were at least 2 people and I think 3 people manning the phones because she asked her co-worker to take a line because the woman was going on and on. I smiled at that one? I was wondering which one of my Freeper friends was on the other line :)) going "on and on"

I just called Mr. Hatches office. I had to call twice because I forgot to mention some things. There might be possible federal investigation but it is unknown because they weren't being very forthcoming. I left my name the second time. First time said about her being held in Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, Inc. for 5 years. She's not terminal and that she is on Medicaid.
